Data controller

Nordisk Energi AS (org. no. 933 491 625), Grimsrudveien 72, 1407 Vinterbro, is the data controller for the personal data described here. If you have questions about privacy, you can contact us at info@nordiskenergi.no or via the contact form.

What we collect

When you send us a form, we receive the information you fill in yourself:

  • name and email address
  • phone number
  • postcode
  • company name, if you request a quote for a business
  • what your enquiry is about, and your message

We do not ask for sensitive personal data, such as health information. Please do not include such information in the message field.

Why we process the data

We use the information to respond to your enquiry, give you a quote and arrange service. The processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, cf. Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

We do not use the information for marketing without your consent.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and chosen language so that we can send you news and updates from Nordisk Energi.

The legal basis is your consent, cf. Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us at info@nordiskenergi.no. We then delete your email address from the list.

Who processes the data on our behalf

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which also receives and stores the forms you submit on our behalf. To stop spam, submissions are checked by the filtering service Akismet.

Netlify is our data processor and has servers outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Transfers take place on a valid transfer basis under Chapter V of the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Netlify also records technical information, such as IP addresses, in server logs to deliver the website and protect it against abuse.

Cookies and analytics

We only use cookies and similar technology for statistics and marketing if you consent. Your choice is stored in your browser for 12 months. You can change it at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.

Statistics: We use Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited to understand how the website is used, for example which pages are visited, which buttons are used and whether a form was sent. Google may transfer data to the United States. The legal basis is your consent, cf. Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

Marketing: We use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited to measure the effect of ads on Facebook and Instagram. We and Meta are joint controllers for collecting and transferring this data. Meta may transfer data to the United States. The legal basis is your consent.

The tools above are loaded through Google Tag Manager from Google Ireland Limited, and only after you have consented. Tag Manager itself sets no cookies.

What you write in our forms is never sent to Google or Meta – only that a form was sent and which option was chosen. Fonts and images are served from our own website.

How long we keep the data

We keep your enquiry for as long as necessary to follow it up. If the enquiry leads to an agreement, we keep the information for as long as the agreement and legal requirements, such as bookkeeping rules, require. Otherwise, we delete it when the matter is closed.

We keep your newsletter email address until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You have the right to

  • access the information we hold about you
  • have incorrect information corrected
  • have information deleted
  • restrict or object to the processing
  • receive the information in a machine-readable format (data portability)

Contact us at info@nordiskenergi.no or via the contact form if you wish to exercise your rights. We respond without undue delay and within one month at the latest.

Complaints

If you believe we process personal data in breach of the regulations, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
